Electric spark punching machine generally refers to the electric spark small hole discharge motor, and the electric spark punching machine is used to process fine holes in conductive metal materials. The principle of using an electric spark piercing machine is to use a fine metal copper tube (called an electrode wire) that continuously moves vertically up and down as an electrode to perform pulse electric spark erosion and shaping on metal workpieces such as stainless steel, quenched steel, hard alloy, copper, aluminum, etc. The electric spark punching machine can be used to process deep and small holes in engines, such as cooling and heat dissipation holes, group holes on sieve plates, oil circuit holes in hydraulic and pneumatic components, oil nozzle and oil pump injection holes, spray holes in chemical weaving spray plates, and threading holes in medium wire cutting, which are difficult to process with various radical processing methods.

 

Piercing machines are different from wire cutting machines and electric discharge molding machines. The electrode of the perforating electromechanical pulse is a hollow copper tube, and liquid or gas passes through the small hole in the middle of the copper tube hole, playing a cooling and chip removal role. The high-temperature corrosion of the metal caused by discharge between the electrode and the metal can achieve the purpose of perforation, which can be used to process fine holes in superhard steel, hard alloys, copper, aluminum, and any conductive material. Electric spark piercing machines can be divided into two types according to the different media used. One is liquid piercing machines. Due to the small holes in copper pipes that need to be passed through during liquid processing, they may block the small holes, so they can process 0.02mm fine holes. The depth can also process 0-300mm, and there is another type of gas piercing machine. The medium used for passing through the small holes of copper bars is gas, so it is not easy to be blocked and can process more precise small holes.

 

The difference between electric spark punching machine and electric spark wire cutting

 

1. The tool electrode of the electric spark punching machine is a formed electrode, which has a suitable cross-section or shape to the required processed parts; The electrode of electric discharge wire cutting is a molybdenum wire electrode that moves along the axis of the electrode wire.

 

2. The workpiece and tool of the electric discharge punching machine have only one relative servo feed motion, while in wire cutting machining, the tool and workpiece have relative servo feed motion in both horizontal directions.
